The word paradise is often used to describe the Seychelles. With a pristine natural environment, fantastic snorkelling, friendly local culture and a plethora of white sandy beaches it is easy to see why.
After an easy five hour flight from the UAE you arrive on Mahe, the main island and home to the capital city of Victoria. The downtown area of Victoria is a reminiscent of the colonial era with hertiage buildings with wide verandas and a bustling daily market. Mahe is also where you will find five star hotels such as the Four Seasons, the Constance Ephelia and the Hilton Northholme to name a few.
The true Seychelles experience begins when you leave Mahe and head to one of the outer islands. Praslin, La Digue and Silhouette are a short boat ride from Mahe. On Praslin you will find Vallee de Mai which is a UNESCO World Heritage listed. Praslin is the most popular island for holiday makers after Mahe, probably due to Anse Lazio which is repeatedly ranked as one of the world'd top 10 beaches.
La Digue is just a ride from Praslin and is unique due to its complete lack of motorised vehicles. Residents on the island get around on foot, bicycle or oxcart.
