Why choose us?
Why School Adventures?
Travel provides students with the opportunity to experience culture, history and languages first hand. The transformative value of travel can develop students' capacity for learning, leadership, self-confidence, teamwork and compassion.
With over 100 destinations as well as the ability to tailor an educational trip based on your needs, whether it be curriculum, destination or experience, School Adventures can customise the right program for your school.
Travel is full of choice, but we do like to think we're a little special. Here are 10 reasons why you should book your next Educational Adventure with us:
Travel your way
Tailor an itinerary especially for your school. We can provide local or private transport and we have a range of different accommodation levels to suit any budget. Let our experts plan every element of the itinerary based on your school's requests.
Local leaders, local knowledge
All our school tours are accompanied throughout by an English speaking local Group Leader who will meet you at the airport and be with you until you depart. The Group Leader will act as your guide, interpreter and general facilitator throughout your trip.
Freedom and flexibility
Alter your itinerary to compliment your curriculum. Include as many or as few activities as you like, see the sights straight out of the textbooks and customise trip details as you go.
Innovative and interactive itineraries
We like to focus more on insights than just sights. Our trips give students a local perspective that incorporates real life experiences along the way.
Get an up-close look at different cultures. Stay and live the local way, through a home-stay, cooking class or project visit.
It's all in the journey
Half the fun of travel is the travelling itself. On our itineraries we can include a range of transport options from bicycles to junk boats and even camels!
We contribute directly to local economies, and our charity projects can educate students on positive changes driving local communities.
We believe in rich learning experiences at an affordable price. That's why our School Adventures include all flights, entrance fees, transport, accommodation, meals and all the services of a Group Leader. In addition we offer 2 free places for teachers per 20 students.
Peace of Mind
The Health and Safety of your group is our paramount concern at all times. We work hard to enforce stringent Health and Safety standards on all school tours, and fully assess all elements of every trip, from the accommodation we stay in to the vehicles and equipment used. We are committed to ensuring all tours and activities conform to the British Standard 8848 (leading British standards) for Health and Safety practice.
All tour leaders are trained in first aid, and we have stringent policies and procedures in place. With our global staff and ground operators we have all the expertise and are supported 24 hours a day.
Student Groups Specialist
Our School Adventures Program Manager is a specialist in the field and can work with your school to help you get the most out of your itinerary. Our School Adventures program is backed by teams of Flight Centre travel experts to assist with airfares, visa applications and travel insurance.
On each trip you will:
1. Experience some of the world's most amazing destinations.
2. Follow an exciting itinerary that's been planned by our school experts, visiting all the important sites and gaining an in depth insight into the local culture.
3. Join an experienced local Group Leader who's on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly throughout your trip.
4. Share your amazing experiences as a group.
We believe that travel offers young people a great way to learn first-hand about the world around them – visiting historic ruins, waking to the sounds of the muezzins calling the faithful to prayer in Marrakesh or stopping to look at bizarre rock formations in Wadi Rum, Jordan.
Beyond the classroom
Our educational trips closely follow the school curriculum bringing subject matter to life – whether or not you are immersing yourself in the local culture or seeing new landscapes for the first time.
We act responsibly
We work to ensure all our trips are designed and operated responsibly to maximise the positive effects tourism can bring.
We can adapt our itineraries to fit any special interests of your class – whether you want to visit a particular museum or ancient site or you want to travel to a different destination, we can assist you.
Experts with students
Within a carefully constructed safety net your pupils are challenged and they return home with a greater sense of self, feeling more capable and self-reliant.

Don't just take our word for it...
GEMS World Academy, Week Without Walls, Bali, November 2016
The GWA Week Without Walls Bali trip was nothing short of amazing! The trip was not only an enjoyable experience, but also one that allowed for several experiential learning opportunities. Upon arrival, students and staff were greeted by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide.
We were then transferred to a quaint Sanur based hotel in an extremely effective and organized manner. This set the tone for the remainder of the trip where the guides and Flight Center Trip Leader expertly and systematically took us from one part of the island to another.
Students would go from surfing lessons in the morning, to helping the Role Foundation empower disenfranchised Balinese girls in the afternoon, to having an amazing dinner by the beach in the evening. Students were allowed an opportunity to tour the island, snorkel in the LINI Aquaculture Training Center, visit the Kintamani and even try Kopi Luak whilst also learning about ecological development, a sustainable tourism industry and protecting marine ecology.
The trip was extremely balanced and allowed for a fun and service learning based experience. This meant students were able to use this experience as part of their CAS portfolios. Given the nature of the trip, students could meet outcomes such as Global Engagement, Ethical Choices and Actions, and Commitment and Perseverance. The experiences were very powerful and allowed for excellent reflective opportunities.
