The ski resort has three villages, Méribel Centre, Méribel-Mottaret and Méribel Village, all of which are located within the Vanoise National Park. The host of the 1992 Winter Olympics, Meribel spans 150km of skiable terrain and offers on and off piste skiing.

Geneva Airport in Switzerland is the closest major airport to Meribel. Shuttle buses run from the airport to Meribel.

Car hire is available in Geneva. Chains are essential so be sure to hire them also.
