Today Portillo's management limit the lift tickets sold to 450 a day, to ensure minimal waiting on the lifts and maximum ski time on the slopes. The longest run is 2.4 kilometres and the highest vertical drop is 2,500 feet.

The nearest international airport is in Santiago, where there are connecting shuttle buses to the resort.
There are a variety of accommodation options at Portillo including a hotel, apartments and lodges.
Hire a car at Santiago Airport. Chains are essential so be sure to hire them also.
